I will be performing on the harpsichord with The Merry Band (Leila Lazenby,
soprano; Patricia Adams Nordstrom, viola da gamba; Jennifer Phillips,
harpsichord; and guest artist Lyle Nordstrom, lute).

First Presbyterian Church is next door to the High Museum at Peachtree St.
and 16th St. It is on the north side of the museum. Free parking is
available in the lot beside the church.

We'll be performing delightful works by Monteverdi, Frescobaldi, Luigi Rossi,
Purcell and Sweelinck, as well as Packington's Pound, an English ballad tune.

<Music for Sunshine in Winter: a Window into the 17th Century> is part of a
musical mini-series called <Recitals at Dusk>. Harmonie Universelle,
featuring Catherine Bull, baroque flute and Daniel Pyle, lautenwerk (a gut
strung harpsichord that sounds like a lute) will following The Merry Band
with a concert Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 6pm in the same location. These concerts,
lasting only about 45 minutes, are designed for the commuter to catch a
breath of beautiful music before tackling the traffic.

Hope you can come!

Jennifer Phillips, harpsichordist
