Each year Carey Beebe opens his Sydney (Australia) workshop for a weekend. This
year I went with my kids.
 
On display were a number of Harpsichords, a fortepiano, and a clavichord. The
kids went wild, dashing from instrument to instrument playing little tunes on
them. The clavichord was a little soft to hear above the harpsichords, which
caused a little friction between two of my kids at one stage.
 
It was interesting to see and head the different styles of harpsichord. From the
big two manual French to the small lighter sounding Italian instruments.
 
Part of the open weekend consisted of performances on the instruments, but I was
not able to stay for those.
 
Carey is the agent for D. Jacquest Way and  mainly does the "final asemble and
testing" of the harpsichords he sells.
