NorCal ATOS enjpoyed a concert by Sean Henderson, of Austrailia, the 1992
Junior division winner of the ATOS Young Orgainst Competition.
The early Sunday morning concert was held at the San Francisco Castro Theatre.

Sean has spent the last month studying under the tutilidge of
Walter Strajnyi and Lyn Larsen, both of the Phoenix AZ area.

As usual, Dick Taylor and Ed Stout III had the instrument in top condition.
The strings were great!

Sean handled the instrument well. Sean has just turned 14. He used very
clean registrations, used crescendo & swell sparingly, and remembered to
close the swell between selections.

Ray Taylor, Outgoing NorCal Program Chairman introduced him as having a
very mature style for his age. Ray was quite correct. Sean made none of the
usual "young organist" mistakes.

Broad shoulders for his age combined with the quality and professionalism
in his style, mad it difficult to remember that the man sitting at the console
has not even begun High School yet!

Toward the end of the concert, his microphone style began to warm up and he
seemed to be more at ease with it. He began to smile.

I expect that we will hear much more from Sean in the future.
If you get a chance, go hear him! He plays equally well theatre style as well
as classical.

Well thats enough for now....
