I've just been listenng to new ARt of Fugue with Ton Koopman & Tini
Mathot (Mrs TK), harpsichords (Kroesbergen) [Erato 96387] Much to
recommend it - I like it a lot. Coming out this week.

My all-time favorite, though, is Jordi Savall's on Astree (E2001). He
scores it for 8 instruments, 4 gambas + cornetto, 2 sagbutters, dulcian.
Anachron-istic, but very sweet, very spiritual, very elevated. Should
resolve any reservations you may have had about Senor Savall's divinity.
I recommend it for gray foggy Sunday mornings.
