In Douwes's 1699 treatise, he gives stringing information on virginals and
clavichords. The virginal information is reprinted by Hubbard (where he
calls them "harpsichords") and Hubbard includes both string lengths and
gauges. In Brauchli's clavichord book, Brauchli only reprints Douwes's
clavichord gauges but not string lengths. I am wondering if Douwes
originally gave clavichord string lengths?. If so, I would like to find out
what they are.
