Not quite right Peter. You can spend a lot of money of a system that
doesn't transparently reproduce. In fact I think you pay for the colouring
characteristics of a speaker. I chickened out at $20,000 for a pair of
speakers that fattened out the bass and I could have spent $120,000 if I

the flesh. Once you have that you can find a system that will bring it into
the room and give you colourless transparent reproduction. I am extremely
satisfied with my Linn Ninka's (thanks to Tilman).
