Just curious, have you seen the plan for the virginal or built one from the
plan? Can you identify what is wrong with it?
I actually purchased the plans for the virginal and the FA 1677 but haven't
done anything with them yet since I'm already playing on a short octave. I
also had the opportunity to play on the clavicytherium that Ken built. I
also saw the original virginal that the plans were based on which was in an
unplayable state -- he can't do the work on it due to health problems.
The clavicytherium had nice action and was quilled in leather. Very soft
and delicate not like the crisp brassy Italian I have.
Are any of the plans worth following/using?
