I have always been so careful to keep to schedules achieved by not being
over optimistic quoting delivery dates.
Three months ago I finished a Flemish single with full decoration for a
client who could not make his mind, should the instrument be sent to New
York or Tokyo; we now know it is to go to Tokyo: NXT MONTH so that’s one
chunk of space that has been tied up for three months. This morning,
having done a check through a tune on a double finished two weeks ago
for Cork, one scheduled to go to the packers this Monday, an email
arrived, could I hang onto it until the end of June as building work was
not completed at the new Cork School of Music. Both instruments have
been paid for but with the soundboard going into the current instrument
this Friday, boy do I need the space.
I am wondering if sanctimonious Johnson, who’s always on schedule, might
be better off getting behind and having apologies at the ready.
