>>>>>>>>>Horribly off-topic, but here in Salem, Oregon, right on the site of
early 1840s Methodist church, is the intersection of two streets:
'Church' and 'State'. The paper once printed a rather clever photo of
the street sign, showing both, at right angles to each other.>>>>>>>
Here in Charleston, we take it a step further. Church and State streets
are parallel a block apart - so they never meet. However, King and
Queen Sts. intersect.
To make it keyboard worthy - on Church Street within a stone's throw of
each other are a lovely little Appleton organ from the 1830's(?) at St.
Philip's Church, and a restored 1840's Erben at the Huguenot Church,
site of this year's Early Music Series for the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
