More recent than the Gramercy Five, and perhaps the most effective use I have heard of a Challis, is Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King,
from Per Gynt, and Ritual Fire Dance of De Falla. Both tracks on an LP called Holiday for Harpsichord, by E. P. Biggs. It was recorded
ca 1960 IIRC. If you are trying to survey recorded Challis sound, this one is a must.
