For those who are doing MIDI things, a music store in San Rafael
has a handy little MIDI analyzer that they are selling for $39 +
tax and shipping. It has a bunch of LEDs that tell you what kind
of data is being sent (note on, note off, program change, control
change, sys ex, etc. etc. etc.) and what channel it is on. It does
not show the note number or velocity or the value of the program
change. It also shows errors/interrupt. It is battery powered with
a MIDI in and a MIDI thru.
