Dear Norm
I’ve seen many ways to letter a Flemish lid, but the most pleasing to the eye remains the historic layout of three horizontal lines of text to fill the space.
You’ve chosen a four-word motto for the flap which does not fit nicely onto three horizontal lines of about equal length which the flap requires. This means you do need to rotate the flap text 90 degrees anticlockwise and onto two lines. When you close the main lid but open the flap, reading from the keyboard you should see SIC TRANSIT / GLORIA MUNDI.
Regards
CB
