Hi Everyone!

Recently, when regulating the instrument I am just
completing, I wondered about the necessity of having dampers in the
upper end of the 4'. Although I have seen many instruments without
top-end dampers, I have always used them myself (I guess I would just
feel guilty if I left them out!)

BUT - are they really necessary? Any comments?
