Thanks for the suggestions on woodworm.

Actually only the legs and moldings are affected. I shall remove and put the
legs in my freezer for a couple of days. The moldings will be removed and
destroyed.

To be doubly sure, I have purchased a chemical agent which can be smeared on
affected parts.

Hopefully this will teach the vermin a lesson!
