how's that for an oxymoron - deliberate I suppose.

Am surprised at turpin's apparent embrace of 'Beethoven for Baby's Bedtime'.

For me Kleiber (Erich that is) always gives perfect tempo in
Beethoven, somewhere around 15 minutes for this movement - the
ornaments are ornamental but the cosmic elements still very much
there. Can't speak for Norrington, who may be still faster and, more
importantly, sketchier.
