This accords with what I know of the man.  I played a rather nice
instrument he made once many years ago--it was owned by a Professor
at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, whose name escapes me at the moment.
A Flemish style harpsichord, if my memory is correct (but it is
rather dim--it would have been just over 30 years ago).  At that
time I had had some blissful moments with the 1745 Dulcken in the
the Smithsonian and there really isn't much I've ever laid
a finger to since that compares.
 
Herr Skrowoneck made some recorders that were well regarded, too.
He agreed to make me a copy of a Bressan treble at original
pitch, a very long time ago--I don't like to remind him now, and
am quite happy with what I've managed to get since, in any case.
