Dear David,

The Url has been posted on this list more than once in the past month. It's
http://harpsichordphoto.org/

It was set up by Bob Morgan, who has been extremely helpful to me, & I assume to several others, with uploading texts, fotos, soundfiles.

Regards,
Dale

It is true that a subscriber set up a photo-sharing website for hpschd-l subscribers years ago, primarily for builders to show their work and share ideas in ways difficult to describe in words. I don’t think it got much use. I am embarrassed to admit that I have forgotten both the url and the name of the kind soul who set it up. (I am probably an administrator but I did not manage it.) It may be discussed in the archives, but if s/he is still subscribed, perhaps we could be reminded?

I have no quarrel with the harpsichord sites on Facebook. Indeed, HPSCHD-L has a page for subscribers, as do HKSNA and ICEKS. I still feel that this list, in spite of perceived shortcomings, serves an important and unique function. Perhaps as I gave birth to it many years ago (when nothing like it existed on the planet), I have a certain sense of parental proprietary, but no one has yet convinced me that the format must change. If people feel better served by Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, or whatever, they are fully free and able to participate there. The list will continue to function as long as some people value it and use it. I personally enjoy Facebook but I see it as an entirely different experience (and I do NOT like the ads and data harvesting). However, being an anachronism in the truest sense (in other words I am older than dirt—so old, I used to write batch files in DOS), I do NOT tweet, twitter, squawk, snapchat, pinterest, anger birds, build virtual farms, or crush candy, except in my mouth.
