Subscribers to HPSCHD-L:

The process to migrating HPSCHD-L to servers at the University of Iowa is nearly complete.  This message will serve both an informational function to subscribers as well as a test of the new system.  It will be sent to the list both via Albany and Iowa City, so you should receive it twice.

Effective immediately, please begin using the UIowa access to the list.  Your subscription options (digest, index, nomail, etc.) have been carried over to the new system, so the list function change should be transparent from your point of view.

Here are the new addresses you should use henceforth:

[log in to unmask] = the list address.  Post your messages here.
[log in to unmask] = the listserv address.  For list commands (subscribe, unsubscribe, set digests and nomail, etc.) only.
[log in to unmask] = for mail directly to the list owners.

The website will remain at Albany, with the URL www.albany.edu/hpschd-l not changing.

Web access to the list and archives may be had at:

https://list.uiowa.edu/scripts/wa.exe?A0=HPSCHD-L

You will need to create a login/password on your first visit.

As part of this changeover, several changes will be made:

1.  We have borrowed and modified the "Guidelines for Contributors" from PIPORG-L, and will henceforth expect all subscribers to abide by them.  A copy will be posted to the list shortly after this missive, and they will be available on the website within a few days.  We will ask all subscribers to read these guidelines and adhere to them.  Subscribers who are unwilling to do so are encouraged to unsubscribe; those who choose to violate them in postings will be set to NOPOST.

2.  In an effort to clean up and weed out the subscriber database, all subscriptions which are set to NOMAIL will be deleted within the next several days.  If you have a NOMAIL subscription that you wish to retain, you will need to re-subscribe from that address after this operation has taken place.  You will be notified by listserv when the subscription is deleted.

If anyone experiences any problems or issues with the new system, please let me know as soon as possible.  Since UI is using the same LISTSERV software as Albany, we expect few or any difficulties.

We are still working on the transition of the archives from Albany to Iowa City.  This process may take a week or more.  Stay tuned.
