Age, per se, has nothing to do with loss of hearing. Accumulated insults
do, like loud sounds and disease. There are many aged people in quiet
parts of the world with hearing as good as the young. Wear those ear
protectors! I had my hearing analyzed and hear high frequecies fine at
late middle age.
