I echo David Pickett's comments fully, and reiterate my feeling that no real dialogue or conversations take place on things like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. (I have enough experience with those apps, and I am close enough to others who do use them, to feel I have secure ground for my statement.)
Anyhow, back to harpsichord content!
On March 11, I sent a post about a weeklong harpsichord tech course offered by the North Bennett Street School, in Boston. Happening in June and taught by Allan Winkler.
The course is intended as an introduction to harpsichord tech for piano techs.
Limited to 8 people the course filled up quickly. In fact, it sounds like they got many inquiries of interest from across the country, so they will probably be offering it again in the future.
Given that the topic of trying to find a good harpsichord technician comes up frequently on this list, it's great to know that there is interest out there, and at least NBSS is trying to do something about the need.

Note: opinions expressed on HPSCHD-L are those of the individual con-
tributors and not necessarily those of the list owners nor of the Uni-
versity of Iowa. For a brief summary of list commands, send mail to
