HUZZAH! for David Kelzenberg for running HPSCHD-L
huzzah, huzzah, huzzah!!!!
Thank you David!

I've read it since I got internet access in 2000.
I also read several facebook harpsichord lists -- which can show
photos, and which can have and do have some more substantive
discussions -- BUT, as Claudio and others have noted, it's really hard
to go back and find stuff on facebook later. And the facebook
platform does push people towards briefer stuff (yep, you can write a
lot, but x percent of responses will be brief, it's the flavor of the
platform).

If I were to choose only one harpsichord list, I'd choose this one.
Searching the archived messages is a gold mine!

No need to change what's working well! HPSCHD-L is hosted by a university.

OT: For those who want to move their YAHOO groups elsewhere --
Yahoo groups is failing/falling apart -- they stopped doing
maintenance on them several years ago.
Many think Yahoo groups may one fine morning, just disappear. It's
been sold, but is still falling apart; on the groups we look at, it's
getting iffier and iffier.
I own and moderate several cat rescue groups, ~ 2500 members in the
larger one --
with the larger one dating to 2000, and having metric tons of files
and archived messages.
We did the (free) move to www.groups.io -- which is a platform
designed by Mark Fletcher, who helped design the original platform
that became yahoo groups.
https://groups.io/static/transfer
Groups.io will transfer your group for free (not changing your group,
just copying it to the groups.io platform).
They can copy all archived messages, and files, etc.
We're still getting familiar with groups.io, but really like it, and
group members have been pleased also.
