The singer Barbara Thornton, joint founder of Ensemble Sequentia, has sadly
just died.  An obituary published on one of the other e-lists comments:
 
>Ms. Thornton, in particular, specialized in the music of medieval abyss
>Hildegard von Bingen.
 
Seems a bit of a harsh judgement on poor old Hildegard.
