Yo - I must leap to the defense of Bill and Melinda Gates, who if
they did not buy the local concert hall have at least just yesterday
given twenty mil to the library - for BOOKS!
 
On the other hand, Bill's original partner Paul, who is building a
rock-and-roll museum by the same architect who did the MOMA in
Basque country and designed the Disney hall, didn't buy _his_
stadium here; he literally _bought_ an _election_ in which the
people voted to build him one!
 
I don't know that either of them has been seen at the new symphony
hall - but Galway sold out anyhow.
