Bill certainly has a point about sharing pictures, and this is certainly
relevant to fine points about harpsichord MAKING.
When it is about PLAYING, I still prefer the list: in the Facebook groups,
when attention to a topic, even a few days old, fades away, I often find it
very difficult to retrieve the information in Facebook. In some cases the
discussion is no longer found at all. In this list, conversely, it is very
easy to search online about any specific topic, even years old.

By no means inevitable, it is a characteristic of bad jack design only.
You can check out what Mike Johnson and I, each separately, have
written on the subject. Mostly on the FB hpschd group which in the
meantime has attained a much more important position than this list, if
for no other reason than it is easier to use and allows photos etc with
NO stress.
