At the end of March, 1999, within the space of one week, IGOR KIPNIS
will be performing on four different keyboard instruments: harpsichord
plus modern piano with the Albuquerque Chamber Orchestra on a March 19
program consisting of the Mozart Double Piano Concerto and the Haydn
Harpsichord and Violin Concerto, followed by one-piano, four-hand school
outreach programs in that city with his piano partner, Karen Kushner.
Then, harpsichord concerts and masterclass in San Diego for the San
Diego Harpsichord Society, followed by a combination clavichord and
fortepiano recital for Laurette Goldberg’s Music Sources on March 28.On
March 30 he will be giving a harpsichord master class at the San
Francisco Conservatory.
