Todays artist was Bálint Karosi, Organist and Director of Music at First
Lutheran Church of Boston. His programme was;
*Passacaglia in d minor, Johann Kasper Kerl*
*
*
*Trio Sonata I in E-flat Major (BWV 525), Johann Sebastian Bach*
* I. Allegro moderato*
* II. Adagio*
* III. Allegro*
*
*
*O Lamm Gottes, unschuldig (BWV 656), Johann Sebastian Bach*
*
*
I have had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Karosi play on a number
of occasions and have never tired of his playing. Today was no exception,
the Kerl is a piece I am not familiar with but it was played beautifully,
the Bach Trio was excellent as was the chorale. We are indeed lucky to have
this talented young man in this area, which seems to abound it such talents.
I am looking forward to hearing Mr. Karosi this Saturday, at his church,
when the annual Bach Birthday Celebration will take place, always a
wonderful day. full of Bach and organists.
Cheers,
Mack
