Vernon deTar once spoke of a wedding at Church of the Ascension in Manhattan,
for which the parents of the bride desperately wanted the choir to sing the
Parry, complete with "Vivat Roberta," the bride's name. I believe he told me
he actually did this, with some clever textual adjustments to make it all fit.
I would like to have been there!
