As for early Schlicker trackers, check the archives for info on the portable
positiv built for Martin Bangert and the Lutheran Summer music camps in the
50's and 60's. (Now residing at St. Luke Church in Chicago)
The Valpo Schlicker tracker I believe is a twin to a practice organ at St.
Olaf College. I remember going through the archives of TAO and seeing a big
ad with Robert Thompson, Bob Kendall, and students standing around it if I
remember. Don't know the vintage.
Alluminum trackers, etc. Messed with at some point by the local yokel
builder, but I believe recently was reworked by Dobson or Holtkamp.
I learned a lot of rep on that machine. One pedal gemshorn bass had a slight
curve in at as it was used at one time in a jousting match down the 5th
floor Old Music building hallway!
