at La Jolla Presbyterian.

I have to wonder if there isn't a THIRD organ out there somewhere ... 47
ranks (Detroit) + 26 ranks (San Diego) doesn't equal the original organ
... 98 stops?
The lack of reed stops in the San Diego Swell is particularly
remarkable, since Constance Virtue, the organist, had an MSM from Union.
First UU wasn't poor ... the organ was for the new meeting-house.
Her husband was the minister at Lemon Grove UCC ... that's how the
Aeolian ended up there when the Abbott & Sieker went into First UU.
According to Paul Pitman, it played in Lemon Grove until two years ago
when the minister cut the cable, removed the console, and substituted a
big Rodgers.
