In tonight’s PIPORG-L digest I read two interesting comments:
From Jon Busch:
“That organ was an early example of Robert Hope-Jones I think dating from
1917 (I could be wrong).”
Since Mr. Hope-Jones departed this life in 1914, this either must have been
a very LATE example, or one made by the Metaphysical Department at
Wurlitzer’s.
Regarding Mr. Miller’s analysis of Michael Payne’s modifications and
qualifications
for modifying the Tryon, NC Schlicker tracker:
“Michael Payne . . .unfortunately for this talented man, died a very
early death.”
Would this have made the modifications better, or not so good, possibly
incomplete?
