Hi List Members,

Edward Murray is correct with all of his observations. I would like to
add to this thread the marvelous 1923 Skinner at Trinity Episcopal (on
the corner of Bush and Gough, just two blocks north of St. Mary's
Cathedral.

I had the pleasure of studying on this instrument under then organist,
Harold Mueller in 1970-1972.

Ed, you might particularly enjoy this instrument since your tenure at
the Immanuel Pres Skinner in L.A.

The instrument was maintained for years by Schoenstien, but for the last
6 years or so, it has been looked after by someone else.

Interesting note about the instrument: When you leave the console to go
to the ambulatory behind (choir room, Rector's office, etc), you pass
right through the unenclosed Great area, and past the 32' open offset.
The Rector made it a point to tell anyone that was practicing not to use
the 32' especially when he was in his office, as it made his pen shake
whilst writing his sermon.

Regards,
Mark S. Towne
Las Vegas, NV
