Use it for practice. Play in the parts of a trio one at a time on
separate channels, and then cut out two of the three parts, or even
just one of the three, and let the MIDI'd part be your metronome. It
lets your hand(s) or feet(s) get a little individualized exercise,
while your ear becomes more and more familiar with the complete
texture.
