A friend who is not a musician has e-mailed me and asked what my favorite or
highly-recommended Mozart piano concerti are. I haven't gone out of my way
to listen to any in years and will tell him so. I can remember being quite
moved by a live performance of his concerto for 2 pianos in Eb many years
ago.

If anyone has some thoughts on Mozart's "best" piano concerti--and perhaps
his symphonies ought to be considered, too--please contact me privately, and
I'll pass on the information and credit the person who does the
recommending. Now, if he'd asked what my favorite Mozart violin concerto is,
I could have answered that. I've always had a special fondness for #3 G
Major, K. 216.
