I can’t remember where I heard or read this many years ago (on this list?), but it seemed at the time to be from a fairly reliable source about these things. The gist of the story is that when Dupré made one of his early trips to the U.S., and encountered chimes on an organ, he then added them into Cortège. I do seem to recall that the source of this said it was the Wanamaker organ. Or am I making this up completely??? : > )
