Interesting! I've always played the "incorrect" b-flat, and until today I
have never even noticed that it should be b-natural. I have now marked the
score.
The only recording I know of (John Robinson at Carlisle Cathedral on Priory
CD) also chooses b-flat. I am amazed, incidentally, that this seems to be
the only recording, because it is a wonderful six pages of music, and it
led
me to look into more Lloyd Webber. He ought to be played much, much more.
