Dear List Members,

 

Graceland University in Lamoni, IA (located off I-35 80 miles south of Des Moines, IA and 120 miles north of Kansas City, MO) is selling Wicks Op. 5656, located in the university's Cheville Chapel.  The organ was built in 1980 and contains ten ranks of pipes.  The stoplist is as follows:

8' Principal (61 pipes)

8' Bourdon (Swell)

4' Octave (12 pipes, extension of Great Principal)

2' Flute (Swell)

II Sesquialtera (TC, 37 pipes, Swell)

The organ is playable.  The following things need to be installed to bring it to prime condition:

 

1)       Solid State relays 

2)       New optical keying contacts for existing manual and pedal keyboards

3)       New main cable

4)       Two new rectifiers

 

In addition, some voicing will be necessary.  

 

The dimensions for the organ case is as follows (measurements are approximate):

 

5'11" deep

10' high

12.5' wide

 

The dimensions for the organ console are as follows (measurements are approximate):

 

4'7" deep (includes pedalboard)

4'2" high

5.5' wide

 

 

We are asking $17,000 for this organ.  Buyer will be responsible for removing the organ from its current location and paying all associated moving costs.
