Since this topic has been done to death so often, I
was determined not to be drawn into the discussion,
but having played some of Bill Glasson's Musicom
instruments I must comment on their quality and
versatility. Since each instrument is hand built to
the customer's requirements, and provided with high
quality amplification and speakers, they are just as
good as Copemann Hart and considerably less expensive.
The organ in Scotch College Chapel in Melbourne is
excellent, and I do not think that St Paul's Cathedral
or St Patrick's Cathedral Melbourne would have had one
of his instruments for two years if they were not
satisfied that they offered the best alternative
option available while the pipe organs were being
rebuilt. You will be able to see and hear them all in
due course!
I must declare an interest in that Bill Glasson has
been the perfect host for the past 10 days in
Melbourne, but if I were not impressed by his
instruments I would not have posted this email. I
hadn't even realised that W.G. had been Rogers largest
dealer in Australia until he started building his own
organs - winning their "Dealer of the Year" award.
