As a freshman in college, still living at home, I sought practice time at my 
home congregation.  Not to be.  The "powers that be" didn't think it should 
be used for practice.  But I DID end up with a key to another church [same 
church body...the LCMS] with an invite to practice whenever I wanted [my 
teacher was organist there].

Here, we keep the Chapel console locked primarily to keep small fingers out 
[the Chapel is often used as a gathering place for parents with small 
children].  The main sanctuary organ console has no roll-top, but a key is 
necessary to turn it on.  That very key is in plain view right here on top 
of my desk for any and all to use.  So, if any of you are ever in Marengo...
