I have the Faxon piece kicking around somewhere. IIRC, some passages are in
6 or 7 sharps. H.W. Gray publication in its original guise, I'm pretty sure.
I just heard Doug Cleveland play an absolutely stunning recital this
evening. One of the demanding works on his program was Pamela Decker's
"Kairos" (1997), which is a fine work. It kicks ass, and the concluding
section is a toccata. A great piece for people who have technique to burn.
Pamela Decker also wrote a Toccata (1987, Peters), which Doug said has been
very well received. I've never heard it, but I should think someone on this
list can tell us more about it. According to Doug, she is one of America's
truly important organ composers of today.
