The local AGO Chapter has asked my wife and me to do a program about using
MIDI with pipe organ. The MIDI (Rodgers PR300S) is new to our 3 manual, 52-rank
Austin, and it's new to us. Does anyone have any suggestions about ways that
the MIDI can be used in church services?
It was purchased primarily so we could "record" a piece and go into the
sanctuary to hear it played back, to listen to registration, balance, etc. If there
are other ways to use it and its sounds, other than the obvious solo stops,
I'd appreciate any suggestions you have. We're mainly trying to figure out what
we can do on the program that will be helpful to those who attend.
Thanks!
Joe Routon
