No, not at all. Mr Vanderbilt wanted an organ and bought the pipes. As
you wrote, it was never installed. Some of the pipes were, according to
stories, later installed in Central Methodist.
The Biltmore Chapel did get an organ; this is All Souls Church today.
Harker was hired to play both but only played and directed the choir for
services. You can read more about him in John Apple article which I have

I'm glad that Roy had an interest in this. I went to college at Mars
Hill, just north of Asheville and was for years what was then called a
Biltmore Ambassador.
And, you can look forward to more of his organ music coming.
