Unless the church is strapped for cash, I think it would be gracious to let
the student use the organ gratis.  I suspect most organs in churches could
benefit from more usage—keeping all the leather supple and so forth.  So
usage by a responsible student is win/win for all—plus helps insure the
availability of organists down the road.
