I've found about 3 sources for BWV numbers on the web, but as you
have noted they are not helpful when dealing with works with duplicate
titles.

I have this book by Corliss Arnold which is an overview and catalog
of all organ music. One of the appendices has the BWV index cross
referenced by page/volume number in all the common Bach editions.

If you tell me what page and what volume of what edition, I can get the
BWV number.

Or perhaps another list member can point you to the Arnold book - I
don't remember the title (it was damn expensive, though).
