Darrell Coons asked, "How does it compare in difficulty with, say, the Buck SSB variations?"
I've HEARD those variations, but I've never played them, nor seen them in print. I will say that the Callahan Suite is easy to medium in difficulty. There are -- as always -- some prickly spots that need work, and the "Introduction" to the SSB settings is ALL DOUBLE PEDAL, including thirds in the right foot. It is, however, do-able with some rehearsal time.
