In june 2007, on initiative of Sylviane Falcinelli, Philippe-Marie Ponçon and Jean-Claude Benezech
a new french association “AUGURE” (AUtour de Jean GUillou pour le Rayonnement de ses
Enregistrements et Écrits, name inspired by Guillou’s op. 61 Augure) has been founded with the
aim of ensuring the collection, preservation and restoration of Jean Guillou’s recordings,
witnessing his renowned art of composer, improvisator and interpreter.
It will provide a documented and classified release (CD, DVD, internet) of these recordings under
the artist’s control and supervision.
At the moment, with the artistic direction of musicologist Sylviane Falcinelli, the sound engineer
Philippe-Marie Ponçon presents a CD program capturing, for the very first time, in high
professional quality, Jean Guillou’s eight great improvisations during Services at Saint-Eustache in
Paris and two Bach’s interpretations, both adding a new perspective to Guillou’s previous
discography.
To release this disc, an international subscription has been launched. By subscribing now, you will
receive your disc during autumn 2007.
