Dear friends,
I am very happy to be able to invite you all to attend the official
opening of the newest Nichols & Simpson, Inc. instrument, to be
presented in recital at West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, New
Jersey, on Sunday October 7 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
Dr. Catherine Rodland, organist of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN
(and daughter of Joanne Harris Rodland, West Side's Director of
Music) will give a varied program including music by Vierne,
Messiaen, and Bach, and premiering a special work commissioned for
the occasion by Craig Phillips.
The stoplist of the new organ (48 stops/59 ranks over 3 manuals and
pedal) can be found here:
http://www.nicholsandsimpson.com/st3.htm
along with a link to a large gallery of installation photos, for
those that might be interested.
Mr. C. Joseph Nichols and Mr. Wayne E. Simpson, as well as myself and
others from N&S, will be present for the event. Please find one (or
all) of us and say hello if you are able to attend!
Most cordially,
Tim Bovard
Little Rock, AR
