Subject: Silent Movie "The Kid" at Babson College (date change from 9/25
to
10/16)

"The Kid" is a Charlie Chaplin silent to be shown at Knight Auditorium
(Babson College in Wellesley, MA) on Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 pm.
(Due
to scheduling conflicts, the movie program had to be changed from the
publicized date of September 25.) Bring the family and enjoy a night at
the
movies with the 1921 silent accompanied by Juan Cardona, Jr. at the
restored
1927 Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ.  "The Kid" was Charlie Chaplin's
first
feature-length film.  He wrote the screenplay, starred, and was producer
and
director as well.  When the Tramp finds a baby, the stage is set for
sentiment and comedy.   Child actor Jackie Coogan is captivating as the
Kid,
age five.   Short silent films will round out the evening.   General
