All the discussion about vB. organs reminds me of a funny incident
which happened on an organ tour a few years ago. We were playing in
Germany and the organist ahead of me alphabetically was Mary Kenney of
Short Hills N.J. (or is it Summit- I forgot). Mary played her piece
and the german organist said to her "and what kind of organ to you
have in your church at home?" Mary looked up and told him "a von
Beckerath tracker". The German organist looked genuinely surprised!
