Hi Everyone,

I have been creating an online version of a Kay McAbee biography and
discography similar to the one circulating on G. Wright and a few other
organists. However there is one problem, I'm way too young to have been
around for a lot of the "good stuff".

For this reason, I'm seeking information on recordings (record label, date,
current availability, songs, type of organ, etc.), personal accounts and
memories about Kay's famous concerts and conventions, and other references
(Bombarde or TO Journal articles).

The only recordings I know about are the new "Live at the Granada" CD, '82 &
'89 Dickenson Concert Tapes, "On Tour with Kay McAbee", "Kay McAbee at the
Magnificent Roxy Organ", and most recently from piporg-l "The Fun Sounds of
Kay McAbee"

Kay has been my absolute favorite organist (both TO and classical) since
first hearing him about 3 years ago continuously play the all day
thanksgiving and Christmas events at the NY Roxy Kimball console the was at
the Ramada in Albuquerque NM. His incredible playing never fails to send
shivers up and down my spine (could this also cause hair loss ?). Musically
and technically out of this world. Its because of Kay that I'm so active
again in TO and other organ activities after a very long break while at the
university. Thanks also to whoever from piporg-l or the AOL organ chat
prompted me to find Kay's phone number while working in Los Alamos and
searching for organ events in NM.

Infinite Thanks for any additional info !!!!

Paul
