Subject: I'm Still Here :-))

To those of you who don't indulge in FaceBook, you may not know that I
recently had surgery, again, to remove a cancerous kidney.. This did,
again, slow me down some and my last appearance, before the surgery, was at
the Boston Bach Birthday Bash 333, at First Lutheran Church of Boston. An
event I have always enjoyed, especially the German Lunch served there.
Since the event is run by the Boston Chapter of the AGO and First Lutherans
Music Director, Jonathan Wessler, the format was changed from past years,
a lot more non organ music was played, although lovely. it was not my feel
for this event. The instrumental portions were sell done but there were
only three organ portions throughout the whole day the first at 8:30 A.M.
and the second after the lunch, and the last as a prelude to the Vesper
service. Also a number of non Bach pieces were played. I was a bit
disappointed in it this year, maybe it will smooth out over the year and
become more like it was. That was a Saturday, I went under the knife that
Monday and was home by Wednesday, amazing what they can do these days with
minimally invasive surgery. I was uncomfortable for a while and finally
made it out to a Trinity recital last Friday for the first time and also to
a Recital by Stephen Buzard at The Church of the Advent, so I am back into
getting around, I will be forthcoming with reports on these events, I do
suggest you contact the First Lutheran Church for a copy of the programme
as they do have it in PDF (www.FLC-Boston.org).I will not be typing it up
<G> Please bear with me as I adjust to my new reality and at 77, its
getting harder to get around, that's also arthritis too. More will follow
as soon as I get myself organized again.

Cheers,
Mack
